Estate car - choosing a environmentally friendly model

If you have a regular daily mileage and somewhere to install a home charging unit, an electric estate car is the best and most environmentally friendly option. Failing that a plug-in hybrid or low emission petrol diesel car would be a good choice.

The Next Green Car Rating, looks at a total emissions over the lifecycle of a vehicle and expresses the vehicle’s impact as a score ranging from 0 for the greenest cars to 100 for the most polluting. This can be used to help you compare estate models across technologies and help you narrow down the options.

To compare three models side by side, use the blue compare button to add to the car comparison tool.
